Notice Concerning the Discontinuation of the Model 80
Stereo Analog Audio Distribution Amplifier and Alternate Product Options
The Model 80
Analog Audio Distribution Amplifier was discontinued in January 2001 by Studio
Technologies due to a critical component becoming unavailable. The Model
80’s ¼-inch input and output jacks, manufactured by Neutric, were
discontinued. No substitute is presently available from Neutric or any other
manufacturer.
The Models 81
and 82 offer excellent alternatives to the Model 80. Overall, the Models 81
and 82 are very similar to the Model 80, but with several significant
differences. The Model 80 had eight stereo outputs that used ¼-inch
3-conductor jacks. The Model 81 has eight stereo outputs that use two 25-pin
D-subminiature connectors. The Model 82 has four stereo outputs that use eight
3-pin XLR-type connectors.
