Overview

The Model 5150 Video Generator Module supports a video input and a video output by way of standard BNC connectors. An optional optical transceiver module will provide an optical output in addition to the electrical output. It will also allow the input to be selected between optical and electrical. The transmit wavelength of the SFP-type pluggable optical module can be selected from a range of standard and CWDM values. A USB connector, located on the Model 5150's front panel, allows direct connection of a standard USB memory device. If the Model 5150's software recognizes a compatible FAT32 bitmap file it will automatically load it into non-volatile memory. The memory device can then be removed with the custom image safely stored within the Model 5150. This image will be present on the output whenever an SDI input signal is not connected. Several DIP-type switches are accessible during installation and allow configuration of key operating parameters. Four status LEDs offer users both performance confidence and troubleshooting assistance.
